Building confidence today -
Success tomorrow, here is how:
Students lose interest and then confidence in their ability to do problems once they miss some of the basic building blocks in math. That is where we need to build confidence by way of making them understand the underlying basic concepts. Based on the situation we work with the student in showing them "what they really know" and what problems they could do based on what they know. This will help them look back and appreciate themselves. Once there, we teach them whats missing in their understanding of a concept and develop their confidence inductively while strengthening their knowledge with deductive understanding towards solid progress.
Our unique approach makes a difference:
Making student understand a concept by a method called best fit among various methods applied in math instruction. Best fit method finds the appropriate wavelength of the student in understanding a concept either by verbal and whiteboard explaination, repeated problems or by graphic representation of the problem. This work differently for different students based on their comfort level in grasping new itdeas on topics in Math.
We work with students as they understand the concept behind each topic and learning of the concept "happens". Further that learning process is evaluated in our QA drills, group work and additional problems.
Subjects covered:
Elementary Middle school math and Algebra
Algebra I, Advanced Algebra II, Honors
Geometry and Geometry Honors for 9th Grade
Pre-Calc and Calculus for High school
Giving back to the community...
We are committed to support the needy within our community.
For a child with interest in learning math and in need of support but unable to pay for our service we will work with the parent on discounted tuition or even free math instruction.
This will be on a case by case basis with referral from the student's school teacher or through other community organizations such as PTA.
